Answer: Currently the Compost Facility is open Wednesday & Friday, 8 AM to 2:30 PM and Saturday, 8 AM to 1 PM; closed holiday weekends, Bulk Collection Days, and otherwise as deemed by the Township Board of Supervisors; You may also call our office for seasonal hours of operation.

What can I burn in Greene Township?

Answer: There is NO burning permitted in Twp as per State mandate, Twp Ordinance No. 2004-7; few exceptions include recreation fire in burn ring. Contact Township for copy of Ordinance for details. Greene Township operates a compost facility so that you may dispose of your leaves and brush. Grass should be disposed of with your curbside trash hauler. Garbage is not permitted to be burned under any circumstance.

 

Is a land use permit required for a shed?

Answer: Yes, a permit is required for any structure above 4 feet in height, including fences. Permits are also required for reconstruction as well as for the relocation of a building on your property.
